Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 25464 to
Hanen FC Parken.
Boet Kromkamp was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rareş Budur and
Ralf Peplinsky.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Hanen.
Lineup: Jensen - Balling, Fedenev, Josefsen, Rask Thomsen - Hotter, Van Der Mynsbrugge, Ćirković, Džidić - Priebe, Eppendorf.
KKR decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Pauer - Martinich, Kurzreiter, Friestad - Grigorov, Bélteki, Viên Lợi, Lobo Filho - Łabaziewicz, Gam, Dominguez.
Hanen used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
After 13 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as KKR found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
They were singing the praises of
S. Ćirković 22 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Hanen.
The referee showed Hanen's
S. Ćirković the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
KKR were forced into a substitution as
A. Grigorov couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
F. Sørensen to come in off the bench.
39 minutes into the game, KKR seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
poor.
42 minutes into the game, Hanen were awarded a penalty that
E. Rask Thomsen turned into 2 - 0 without a problem.
After 44 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
C. Hotter might have resulted in another goal for Hanen. However,
G. Pauer made a spectacular save.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Hanen, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.
A review of the gameplan helped KKR get back to a
passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
After 79 minutes,
M. Bélteki replied with a fantastic free kick and the ball went in off the bar. 2 - 1.
Hanen's
E. Rask Thomsen got himself booked for a foul.
In a fantastic display of determination, KKR's
M. Dominguez forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
KKR needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 83 minutes
M. Dominguez made way for
J. Berthelsen.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by KKR, with 52 percent of the ball.
Hanen's best player was
S. Ćirković.
However,
I. Džidić made a disastrous appearance.
M. Bélteki performed admirably for KKR.
G. Pauer was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
