Dędek got himself booked for a foul. Hurricanes's M. Dominici had to leave the pitch and there were no more available substitutions! After 32 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by E. Gromek might have resulted in another goal for Apu. However, W. Kowohl made a spectacular save. There was concern in the stands when, at the 38 minute mark, Hurricanes's R. Vickholm hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Apu scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for N. Secher after 42 minutes. Apu solidified their lead at the 43 minute mark, as E. Gromek dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. This third goal completed a hattrick for E. Gromek. After this, you could see that the players of Apu were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Apu's E. Clausen increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 44 minutes. 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Apu, with 74 percent of the ball.

E. Gromek of Apu received a yellow card after 63 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 70 minutes, Apu's O. Sircana found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 6 - 0. O. Sircana almost put Apu ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. H. Nielsen could have increased the lead after 76 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Apu claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

E. Gromek performed admirably for Apu. However, H. Nielsen made a disastrous appearance. Hurricanes's top performer was clearly T. Haldbæk. On the other hand, J. van Hoften's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 0.
