5682 fans braved the pouring rain at
AIK Sebe Arena.
Tevita Craft was the appointed referee.
Sebe decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Bin-Mustafa - Wass, Aagren, Poulsen, Brunsgaard - Wied, Esbensen, Ditlevsen, Maagaard - Ilsø, Henningsen.
Sambabal tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
The following players took the field: Remøy - Durst, Fräser, Sousa - Jespersen, Coloccini, Freiherr Spiegel von und zu Peckelsheim, Ottesen - Serretti, Lami, Rozentāls.
It was obvious that Sambabal were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic.
R. Fräser got left behind when Sebe's
R. Ilsø made a sudden run forward after 15 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 1 - 0!
25 minutes into the game Sambabal's
A. Coloccini found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1.
Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 30 minutes into the match, and
J. Rozentāls wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors.
31 minutes into the game, Sambabal seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
inadequate level of organisation.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
S. Wied.
40 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as
B. Lami finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Maagaard from Sebe a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Halftime score was 1 - 3.
Sambabal had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Sambabal had
solid organisation.
The visitors added to their lead 51 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Sambabal's
A. Coloccini slid just past the home keeper. 1 - 4.
R. Ilsø, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass.
Sambabal's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends.
Sambabal's
M. Jespersen made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 81 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
After 87 minutes, Sambabal's
T. Ottesen burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 5.
The players of Sambabal now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
With 88 minutes played, Sambabal put themselves up 1 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
J. Rozentāls.
Sambabal claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.
Most important Sebe player was
V. Henningsen.
H. Poulsen was a disappointment, however.
S. Serretti performed admirably for Sambabal.
K. Remøy on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 6.
