Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 7077 at Danfield today. Dmitar Orlović was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ville Palomäki and Aytürk Taru. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Lysdal. They fielded: Bloch - Carlson, Lundorff, Borch, Fridbo - Sparre, Mathiesen, Husby, Klavsen - Ougaard, Nicolaisen.

Farre decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Frydenlund - Svare, Sahin, Gudmundsen, Meier - Vadstrøm, Meyer, Suji, Juhl - Al Shazly, Yding.

Lysdal immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. Lysdal broke through on the left 18 minutes into the game, with M. Nicolaisen firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. With 23 minutes played, Lysdal put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Nicolaisen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 28 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Ougaard broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Lysdal. Lysdal's S. Sparre has the wonderful ability to create chances out of thin air. 32 minutes into the match he bamboozled a couple of opposition defenders before sending the keeper the wrong way and sidefooting the ball home into an empty net. That totally unexpected burst of flair made it 4 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Lysdal lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lysdal, with 77 percent of the ball.

A. Ougaard should probably have put his team up another goal after 48 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by N. Frydenlund kept the visitors in the game. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Ougaard from Lysdal a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 67 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Farre were forced into a substitution as O. Sahin couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing M. El-Akil to come in off the bench. W. Lundorff of Lysdal received a yellow card after 75 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Lysdal managed to extend their lead to 5 - 0 when A. Ougaard cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Lysdal's P. Husby swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Lysdal's S. Mathiesen increasing the lead to 6 - 0. Lysdal's S. Mathiesen increased the lead to 7 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 83 minutes. Lysdal had most of the ball, with 81 percent of possession.

Lysdal's best player was A. Ougaard. R. Carlson turned in a dismal performance, however. Farre's top performer was clearly R. Juhl. However, N. Frydenlund made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 0.
