After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called dream's O. Langelund to one side and produced a red card for the player. After 29 minutes, dream sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached F. Akgün, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 0. After 35 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after B. Povlsen made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. dream could have put themselves ahead after 37 minutes but J. Skals Jensen missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Aalborg, with 51 percent of the ball.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 48 minutes allowed R. Clemmensen to score for Aalborg. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. dream's G. Ørnstrup was shown a yellow card after 53 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 63 minutes into the game, M. Skals Jensen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came N. Lysdal. R. Hansen was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for dream with a strike from the left, but N. Lysdal managed to ward the shot off for a corner. dream's L.
