Broendsted was shown a yellow card after 38 minutes for slicing down an opponent. BOYS were forced into a substitution as M. Stein couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing H. Jonassen to come in off the bench. 3 - 2 was the score after the first half. Ribe had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Ribe scored another to make it 4 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for S. Bakkeskov after 53 minutes. After this, you could see that the players of Ribe were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 61 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by K. Riis might have resulted in another goal for Ribe. However, F.
