Aalborg fans held their breath as H. Serup-Nørgaard scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Aalborg increased the lead as A. Ørskov struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. 61 minutes into the game, F. Glušac had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came F. Brandt. The referee showed f.c.k.a's L. Tolstrup the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A. Öztaylan of Aalborg had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. N. Hesselbjerg came in to finish the match. Aalborg's R. Garde's long shot really ought to have found the net 73 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. 74 minutes into the match Aalborg's R. Garde viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. H. Serup-Nørgaard should probably have put his team up another goal after 80 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by K. Hoffmann kept the visitors in the game. Aalborg enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

Aalborg's best player was J. Bech Jensen. E. Agger Pedersen was a disappointment, however. Most important f.c.k.a player was D. Mortensen. K. Hoffmann turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
