A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Y20. The following players took the field: Ibn-Bilal - Ibn-Jibril, Mantsur, Musa, Ajmi - Musayyab, Ali, Hamdan, Abed-Ibrahim - Gerayev, Chana.

The goal to make it 1 - 0 was scored by Q. Rahman after 13 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by al_watani. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. A. Haj-Ismail squirmed through their central defence after 16 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. There was concern in the stands when, at the 21 minute mark, al_watani's Z. Abu-Alam hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in al_watani's A. Haj-Ismail increasing the lead to 3 - 0. 36 minutes in, W. Mantsur made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but M. Al-Hasan refused to let the ball slip by him. Halftime score was 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to al_watani, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

With 52 minutes played, M. Abed-Ibrahim had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. Y20 fought on and, after 61 minutes, S. Ajmi was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. M. Anbari of al_watani was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 76 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and K. Mansoor gave the al_watani supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 1. By now, the players in al_watani felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Things were deteriorating for the away team as al_watani scored another to make it 5 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Anbari after 79 minutes. After 84 minutes al_watani's A. Abu-Khaleel contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. H. Sulaiman was suffering from cramp and had difficulty keeping up as the opposition pushed forward. G. Gerayev had no problems getting through and hit home to make the score 5 - 2. The referee showed Y20's N. Ibn-Jibril the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Unfortunately for al_watani, A. Abu-Khaleel was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. A. Nisaburi replaced him. The al_watani captaincy was handed to A. Hujayrah. al_watani enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating al_watani player was without a doubt A. Haj-Ismail. K. Mansoor was a disappointment, however. Y20's top performer was clearly S. Ajmi. However, Z. Ibn-Bilal made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 2.
