Clear skies welcomed the 78080 spectators who had made their way to GB (George Best) Arena. Ádám Mikó was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Engelbrecht Reitboeck and Markus Konola. The Devils had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players took the field: Próchniewicz - Barbu, Wald, Pertl, Pučkoris - O'Hara, Pommier, Yanev, O'Halloran, Besmer - Ryan.

T. O'Hara tried using a burst of speed to get past his defender after 3 minutes, but it takes more than that to get past fast T. Netkowski. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a marvellous free kick after 8 minutes, but M. Próchniewicz made a beautiful one-handed save. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave B. Besmer from The Devils a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! O. Winde of Satanisci had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. G. Fausch came in to finish the match. The Devils broke through on the left 38 minutes into the game, with B. Besmer firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Cheers filled the stadium as S. Ryan broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to The Devils. Satanisci's J. Enggren refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 42 minutes. The crowd roared its approval when M. Próchniewicz somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Satanisci's U. Linets 43 minutes into the game. The Devils's L. Pommier got himself booked for a foul. Satanisci came close to narrowing the gap when L. Moss's free kick nearly made it past the outstretched hands of M. Próchniewicz after 44 minutes. J. Bolòs was called on to replace The Devils's S. Ryan after 44 minutes following a nasty collision. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. The Devils claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

With 47 minutes played, J. Paino had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. With 64 minutes played, The Devils put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to T. Barbu, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. By now, the players in The Devils felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The Devils increased the lead as T. O'Hara struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A great save by keeper J. Enggren after 78 minutes kept the visitors in the game after B. Besmer struck from the left with a real cannonball. L. Pommier remonstrated furiously with the referee after The Devils had another decision go against them. The referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the pitch. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

The most dominating The Devils player was without a doubt P. Yanev. On the other hand, J. Bolòs's play was disheartening. Satanisci's best player was U. Linets. J. Juárez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
