previous 1/10 next 3/10  Justified 2 - 1 RFC Bruges (389892000)

40703 spectators had come to Halls of the Horned God this cloudy day. Kjell Kaup was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vittorio Gramatter and Edvard Davidsen. Justified decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Starters: Nicot - Küttner, Nucaro, Pérez - Pincella, Tomor, O'Flaherty, O'Clery - Tsoy, Musmarra, Pradas.

RFC Bruges started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Ganchaegu - Vessmann, Hickey, Sarıgöz, Hosp - Pijl, Bell, Gastal, Thorsen, Papp - Breker-Budiman.

Justified clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. R. Nicot looked great 2 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' G. Hosp. 26 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but A. Breker-Budiman, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. It was obvious that team Justified had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. C. Nucaro gave Justified the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. RFC Bruges had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

After 53 minutes, speedy L. Pijl dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However, A. Breker-Budiman failed to score. 69 minutes in, RFC Bruges's B. Gastal received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 70 minutes, RFC Bruges switched G. Hosp with A. Veretinskas, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, F. Sarıgöz took over the role of being the RFC Bruges captain. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Justified's R. Musmarra increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The RFC Bruges free kick 78 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of L. Pijl, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 1! Justified's A. Pincella had an excellent opportunity after 81 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Justified's R. Musmarra got himself booked for a foul. RFC Bruges enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Most important Justified player was A. Pradas. M. Pérez on the other hand, had a terrible day. A. Veretinskas performed admirably for RFC Bruges. However, L. Pijl made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
