previous 2/10 next 4/10  Leprechaun 4 - 1 Tato (389892045)

38098 spectators arrived at Eugenio Corti, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Séverin Belleville was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andrea Rossi and 张 (Zhang) 栋华 (Donghua) . Leprechaun decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. They fielded: Brandbye - Sabóia, Tomis - Drilo, Langenfelde, McAteer, Arcento, Turek - Holland, Zulonas, Deffke.

Tato started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Fasoulas - 智陽 (Zhiyang), Richard, Días de Arcaya, O'Kelly - Crilly, Lynch, Schlossnickel, Miura, Ramić - Solano.

After some beautiful movement down the left wing, O. Turek scored for Leprechaun putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 9 minutes. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Tato's M. Solano put the ball in the onion bag after 22 minutes to make it 1 - 1. Leprechaun took the lead 33 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as G. Zulonas elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Leprechaun, with 54 percent of the ball.

54 minutes in, Leprechaun's O. Turek received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The score became 3 - 1 at 64 minutes into the game, when Leprechaun were given a penalty which G. Zulonas blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! The head of E. Arcento connected with a corner kick after 65 minutes, and the ball ended up with G. Holland of Leprechaun who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 4 - 1. The players of Leprechaun now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Leprechaun enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

T. Deffke performed admirably for Leprechaun. J. Drilo on the other hand, had a terrible day. Tato's best player was M. Solano. L. Miura turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
