Jidd 2 - 2 Tranquilo
(389920581)

26-08-2012 16.50
Due to an all-day shower, 12000 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Jidd Hafs Stadium.
Hermann Koscholke was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Clemens Biesterveld and
Hendrik Thalmeier.
Jidd tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Al Sulaiti - Sakhaei, Al-Temaimai, Al Khalifa, Ahmed - Al hamdaan, Al Rumaihai, Sabet, Al Omairi - Al Harbai, Kalani.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Tranquilo.
The following players took the field: 安波 (Anbo) - Al-Fadhel, Aseery, Al-kuwari, Al-Hashemi - Suksomkit, Abedzadeh, Abedzadeh, Sayadi - Al Muraikhai, Ramazani.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 7 minutes allowed
T. Suksomkit to score for Tranquilo. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.
Tranquilo increased the lead to 0 - 2 as
H. Al-Fadhel scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner.
I. Al Muraikhai could have put his team up another goal 18 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
Jidd reduced the lead to 1 - 2 with 39 minutes on the clock when
M. Al-Temaimai got the best of a ball floated in from the left.
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
I. Al Muraikhai. The mud seemed to slow him down.
Jidd's
M. Kalani made an attempt at equalising 42 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound.
Halftime score was 1 - 2.
Possession was split evenly between the teams.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
K. Al hamdaan just fine.
After 74 minutes of game time,
J. Sayadi had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
F. Al Sulaiti was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Jidd's
S. Al Khalifa got himself booked for a foul.
Tranquilo's opponents know to be wary of
I. Al Muraikhai's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 79 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive!
Jidd's
R. Al Harbai put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 2 - 2 with 84 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock.
Tranquilo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
M. Kalani performed admirably for Jidd.
On the other hand,
F. Al Sulaiti's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Tranquilo player was without a doubt
M. Abedzadeh.
黄. 安波 (Anbo) was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
