Arnau firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. A well placed corner kick from V. Boubălan was followed by A. de Gracia's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for WroNs, the score now 2 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as J. Mäki-Maunus broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to WroNs. V. Boubălan's curling free kick almost found the goal for WroNs, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. Atlante almost scored after a counterattack 40 minutes into the match, but B. May took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. WroNs's J. Arnau refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 44 minutes. H. Ziegenberg increased the lead for WroNs to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! The players of WroNs now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Boubălan from WroNs a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 44 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 4 - 0 was the halftime score. WroNs had most of the ball, with 88 percent of possession.

With 60 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Atlante resulted in a counterattack that set H. Addicks free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Atlante were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 63 minutes into the match, but H. Addicks narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. Atlante's B. May got himself booked for a foul. The WroNs players could smell victory in the air. A. de Gracia wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Romero after 65 minutes. K. Matilainen left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Ó. Picaso was the replacement. S. Vela wanted to play on, but the WroNs coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 65 minutes into the game by M. Cruz. The WroNs coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 66 minutes into the game. Still ahead in the game after 70 minutes, WroNs made some tactical adjustments. J. Arnau and J. Aréchiga swapped positions. 84 minutes into the game, WroNs seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation.
