However the finishing shot went just wide. O. Neri was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Wapoz's defence 27 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 0 - 1. After 31 minutes, Wapoz's O. Neri burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. Confident in their lead, Wapoz's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. P. Boninsegna did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. L. Oconnor did everything he could to get one back for his Patos, but keeper F. Campos denied him with a spectacular block. R. Artla of Patos received a yellow card after 40 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Wapoz enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

R. Luna could have put his team up another goal 58 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. With 59 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed O. Neri of Wapoz to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. At that, O. Neri was noted down for a hat trick! Some fine movement on the left led to a Wapoz goal after 68 minutes, making it 0 - 4. O. Neri was noted down as the scorer. Patos needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes N. Andić made way for M. Méndez Ortiz. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Patos's top performer was clearly A. Finazzi. M. Méndez Ortiz turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Wapoz player was without a doubt O. Neri. On the other hand, D. Macés's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
