After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. At this point, it was obvious that the players of TEC LA PAZ lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The visitors nearly scored again after 69 minutes, but a superb save by R. Alarcón kept J. Berthet's free kick out of the net. M. Uriarte left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Ehgartner was the replacement. R. Alarcón got a fingertip on J. Berthet's shot from the left 83 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Possession in this half belonged to TEC LA PAZ, who controlled the ball 77 percent of the time.
