Atoyac 4 - 2 Lost
(389955945)

26-08-2012 17.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 49426 to
Costa Grande.
Kenneth Holmgaard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Charles Eyckerman and
Victoras Iacob.
Atoyac tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
The following players took the field: Séguy - Viinikka, van Elburg, Zelaya - Czerwczak, Alcantara, Shapovalenko, Ribet - Chaney, Dévora, Flores.
Lost decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Breiteneder - Madoń, Gastalho, Durguner - Louter, Godycki, Krausse, Cevallos - Nairi, Holzberger, Amundsen.
Atoyac were clearly looking ahead to the next match rather than focusing on the one at hand.
Lost showed off their creative tactics.
M. Séguy looked great 36 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
N. Nairi.
H. Chaney caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately
M. Ribet was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity.
H. Chaney gave Atoyac the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
S. Flores could have put Atoyac up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 44 minutes.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Atoyac had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
The lead for Atoyac could unravel if the team did not start taking their opponents more seriously. The captain called a quick huddle before kick off to make sure everyone understood what was at stake.
Atoyac's
R. Dévora swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
74 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Y. Shapovalenko broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Atoyac.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Viinikka squirmed through their central defence after 85 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
The visitors got one back when
F. Madoń finished off a pass from the left and scored after 86 minutes. 3 - 1 was the score.
Cheers filled the stadium as
N. van Elburg broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 1 to Atoyac.
Confident in their lead, Atoyac's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Lost's
E. Durguner was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 89 minutes.
Lost made it 4 - 2 as
H. Gastalho got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
E. Durguner who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
After 89 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
S. Flores might have resulted in another goal for Atoyac. However,
T. Breiteneder made a spectacular save.
89 minutes in, Lost's
T. Louter received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Atoyac claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
S. Flores performed admirably for Atoyac.
E. Zelaya was a disappointment, however.
Lost's top performer was clearly
J. Amundsen.
However,
F. Cevallos made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 2.
