Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to foquyito Arena. By now, the players in IRONS felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by IRONS, with 79 percent of the ball.

One of many good crosses from C. Irineu on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by A. Ek, who scored for IRONS. 0 - 5 A. Lazcano sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from J. Contreras after 55 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 6. J. Osuna received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 57 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 7. The IRONS fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Contreras finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for J. Contreras. A.
