With 40 minutes played, IRONS put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was I. Negrete. Confident in their lead, IRONS's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The visitors' J. Contreras took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 42 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for IRONS. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to IRONS, who controlled the ball 81 percent of the time.

After 68 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Ek who increased IRONS's lead to 0 - 4. After 77 minutes, IRONS's J. Contreras burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. J. Valenzuela Isla was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, IRONS's J. Patiño a chance to increase the lead for IRONS, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7. J. Contreras received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 86 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The IRONS fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for J. Contreras. Viza's T. Clary was shown a yellow card after 87 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Against a lesser team, IRONS could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 87 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by IRONS, with 83 percent of the ball.
