Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Bakus stadium saw a crowd turnout of 45861. Marvin Walke was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hans Teller and Alam Náyar. After 34 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Filipkiewicz a chance to increase the lead for Drogba973, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Filipkiewicz got himself booked. The manager of Drogba973 was not happy. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. A marvellous Bakusfoot effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 43 minutes by A. Tello, making the score 1 - 2. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Bakusfoot, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

S. Deleu charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Bakusfoot, but the shot went well wide of the goal. With the scoreboard showing that 71 minutes had been played, Drogba973 nearly put themselves up another goal after L. Plüss came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After 75 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Barbaux to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3. J. Ivan of Bakusfoot received a yellow card after 78 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. F. Bento Oliveira of Drogba973 seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 4 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by R. Barbaux. Confident in their lead, Drogba973's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Drogba973's V. Eklund got himself booked for a foul. Bakusfoot's J. Sánchez went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Bakusfoot had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Bakusfoot's top performer was clearly J. Ivan. V. Itaipu on the other hand, had a terrible day. Drogba973's best player was L. Plüss. S. Miech turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
