Barratt made an attempt at equalising 65 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. With 67 minutes played, the BoysFromTheDwarf coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. E. Kont came on, D. Shearman had to leave the fray. With 73 minutes played, BoysFromTheDwarf's E. Kont found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for BoysFromTheDwarf, but C. Powell's shot went over the bar. 77 minutes into the match, BoysFromTheDwarf's E. Harlow maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 83 minutes into the match left Rutland's P.
