15-07-2012 18.00
58250 spectators had come to
Allyownians Alley this cloudy day.
Charly Slabbinck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Nicolas Roques and
Eric Ducourneau.
All of
Kent was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
Allyownians started off with a 2-5-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Cox - De Troch, Berger - Berg, Kijagula, Thorup, Focruz, Argüden - 後藤 (Goto), Simionescu, Saudade.
Cooper tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Latham - Kelly, Hampson, Bracamonte - Mull, Olney, Boland, Harmison, Barnden - Riecken, Soto.
The wings were the focus of most of Allyownians's attacks today.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Cooper's
S. Barnden after 7 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
14 minutes into the game,
İ. Argüden had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
J. Smith.
The home crowd was not impressed when
I. Riecken came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 27 minutes. Cooper were now up 0 - 2.
慎. 後藤 (Goto) of Allyownians was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Cooper goal after 32 minutes, making it 0 - 3.
S. Barnden was noted down as the scorer.
The players of Cooper now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
After 39 minutes Allyownians's
慎. 後藤 (Goto) limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
J. Soto after 40 minutes, and prevented Cooper from going up another goal.
It was 0 - 3 at the break.
Cooper claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.
Cooper's
A. Olney got himself booked for a foul.
Allyownians were forced into a substitution as
D. Cox couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
R. John to come in off the bench.
57 minutes into the match,
I. Riecken came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Cooper's
S. Barnden put the visitors up 0 - 4 after 58 minutes.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
S. Barnden.
An accurate cross from
H. Berg of Allyownians was met with a wonderful glancing header from
D. Simionescu, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 1 - 4.
It was obvious that Allyownians had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
R. Boland from Cooper a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 64 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Cooper increased their lead after 67 minutes when
I. Riecken broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay.
A drive down the left side allowed
J. Soto to get in close and score another goal for Cooper after 75 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 6.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cooper, with 59 percent of the ball.
L. Focruz performed admirably for Allyownians.
On the other hand,
R. John's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Cooper player was without a doubt
J. Soto.
H. Bracamonte turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 6.
