Nunziante made a spectacular save. Cross's N. Sodano was shown a yellow card after 26 minutes for slicing down an opponent. A great save by keeper S. Nunziante after 29 minutes kept the visitors in the game after R. Quiñones struck from the left with a real cannonball. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Peaks, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

After 59 minutes C. Rinkenberger made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to N. Sodano who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 2 - 1.
