Kingston 3 - 0 Feckenham (390051432)

60000 spectators arrived at Kingston Upon Thames, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Erik Gubán was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fiorenzo Ghizzoni and Robert Piersa. Kingston had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Wright - Pensa, Churchill, Mäki - Forster, Yakalı, Byford, Gea, Connery - Zumiel, Campos.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Feckenham. Starters: Stefanutti - Henales, Machlarz, Godefroy - Osicki, Oliveira, Hayes, Buganim - Wolfen, Grellinger, Akkermans.

Feckenham decided to play creatively. With 9 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as M. Byford flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. With 27 minutes played, Kingston put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to F. Zumiel, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Confident in their lead, Kingston's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Kingston, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Feckenham's G. Hayes was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 71 minutes. F. Arlecchini was given a chance to change things around. 72 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as F. Zumiel broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Kingston. After 82 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by P. Campos might have resulted in another goal for Kingston. However, D. Stefanutti made a spectacular save. Kingston had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

M. Byford performed admirably for Kingston. D. Pensa was a disappointment, however. Most important Feckenham player was E. Grellinger. O. Buganim on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
