63409 spectators arrived at King George V Park, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Kjetil Rekdal was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Friso Ariaans and Walter Kropff. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Hucclecote. The following players took the field: Austin - Vejlgaard, Watson - Hiltz, Crichton, Carroll, Gordon, Sampayo - Gainey, Shulgan, Hollis.

Mugs tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Varaona - Eenstek, Meriharju, Mandato - Hippi, Iffland, Shaw, Sedby, Brenta - Faber, Mouritsen.

Mugs used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. Hucclecote took the lead after 6 minutes as a result of W. Gainey's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. The pressing tactics used by Mugs were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. Hucclecote once again set a long distance shooter in position after 18 minutes, but the defenders were wide awake and closed in on the shooter in time to block the shot. After 25 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by G. Iffland. A free kick aimed at the keeper's far post almost gave Mugs the lead 40 minutes in, but the ball just wasn't able to squirm its way through the defensive wall. Hucclecote's B. Hollis tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 42 minutes into the match, and R. Faber wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Hucclecote claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

57 minutes in, and Hucclecote were able to score the equalising goal to make it 2 - 2 when P. Sampayo picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. With 62 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 3 - 2 lead as D. Shulgan flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. After 62 minutes, Mugs used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. The Mugs coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. As the game started to slip away for Mugs, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. Hucclecote's M. Hiltz was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - D. Shulgan managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 4 - 2 after 71 minutes. Hucclecote managed to extend their lead to 5 - 2 when P. Sampayo cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Mugs manager used a brief break in play after 75 minutes to give the players new directives. The Mugs players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Hucclecote scored another to make it 6 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. Gordon after 81 minutes. W. Gainey increased the lead for Hucclecote to 7 - 2, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Confident in their lead, Hucclecote's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The referee showed Hucclecote's P. Sampayo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Hucclecote enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

The most dominating Hucclecote player was without a doubt S. Carroll. On the other hand, J. Watson's play was disheartening. Most important Mugs player was R. Faber. A. Varaona on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 2.
