The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 43273 had shown up at The Brian Hinchliffe Memorial Arena for the match. Andrei Matei was the appointed referee. 2pac decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Argov - Ferron, Grange, Janik - Ezzati, Santiago, Suvela, Lama Cuevas, Swien - Goce, Le Meur.

Accademicals tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Starters: Cortez - Lacey, Orlando, Calton - Kronberger, Hamon, van Oort, van Beek - Matosas, Del Rosso, Devas.

Accademicals were relying on their ability to counter-attack. 2pac had a chance to take the lead after W. Santiago's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 4 minutes. With 6 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as H. Goce flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Coming from the right, H. Goce almost managed to score another goal for 2pac, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Accademicals's T. van Beek put the ball in the onion bag after 24 minutes to make it 1 - 1. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, V. Swien scored for 2pac putting them ahead 2 - 1, after 25 minutes. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. 2pac had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

B. Devas sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from T. van Beek after 59 minutes of play, making the score 2 - 2. 66 minutes into the game, D. Matosas was a hair's breadth away from giving Accademicals the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by D. Argov saved the home team that time. F. Ezzati gave 2pac the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2 A great save by keeper J. Cortez after 73 minutes kept the visitors in the game after F. Ezzati struck from the left with a real cannonball. After 76 minutes 2pac's D. Argov contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Possession in this half belonged to 2pac, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

H. Goce performed admirably for 2pac. W. Santiago was a disappointment, however. Accademicals's best player was J. van Oort. However, B. Devas made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
