Łazy were relying on their ability to counter-attack. M. Vassura had a good opportunity to give Łazy the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Ballerics took the lead 27 minutes in, as K. Ozols broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. P. Daly unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. E. Prestía should probably have put his team up another goal after 42 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by P. Barnden kept the visitors in the game. E. After this, you could see that the players of Ballerics were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Ballerics claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

Łazy needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes O. Kelly made way for I. Bailey. After 70 minutes, Łazy switched J. Cabicar with S. Frank, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. K. Ozols wanted to play on, but the Ballerics coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by B. Fossen. With 75 minutes played, Ballerics's E. Losli almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The coach of Ballerics was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, A. Pavel came on for E. Prestía. E. Cowcher left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. S. Davies was the replacement. The referee showed Łazy's L. Grazia the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Ballerics's K. Lieberg went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Possession in this half belonged to Ballerics, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

E. Losli performed admirably for Ballerics. F. Evangelista was a disappointment, however. Łazy's top performer was clearly E. Wendelberger. However, P. Barnden made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 0.
