previous 1/4 next 3/4  Woodlands 0 - 1 Nobodys (390053399)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Station Road saw a crowd turnout of 41838. Mihail Enache was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sven Leiner and Alois Kapkiner. People from all over London had joined up for the derby. Woodlands decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. They fielded: Gaskarth - Guasco, Dekel, Klenck, Kuningas - Cains, Zhosan, Thripland, Nedersjö, Baxter - Halldorsson.

Nobodys had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Meehan - Beven, Brooks, Pârvu - Rbaï, Beye, Robinson, Bosley, Báez - Kellow, Sladaković.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Woodlands. It was an obvious ambition of Nobodys to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. 29 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Woodlands to take the lead after a good cross from the right found I. Zhosan alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Nobodys had to make a substitution after 41 minutes. J. Brooks limped off the field and was replaced by D. Weston. It was obvious that Nobodys had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Players in Nobodys heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. 44 minutes into the game, L. Kellow almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Nobodys enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

50 minutes into the game Nobodys managed a counterattack, but L. Bosley took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. As the 70 minute mark approached, the Woodlands coach decided it was time for a substitution. D. Klenck reluctantly made way for M. MacRobb on the pitch. The terraces were silenced after 78 minutes when Nobodys's I. Báez put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, A. Rbaï would have put Nobodys up another goal 80 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Woodlands had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 81 minutes, but G. Baxter's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. Nobodys had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

I. Zhosan performed admirably for Woodlands. C. Cains turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Nobodys player was L. Bosley. A. Beven on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
