Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 45511 to Domingo Samudio Stadium. Henryk Chadryś was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sietse Haelvoet and Carlos María Medero. Wyss caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 19 minutes. This gave Ju Ju the 1 - 0 lead. The visitors' G. Katzamunski was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 35 minutes. After 36 minutes, the home side was awarded a penalty. The visitors protested wildly but the referee was adamant. B. Connery easily put the ball away to give the lead to Ju Ju. 2 - 1 It was 2 - 1 at the break. Ju Ju had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

With 50 minutes played, the visitors almost levelled the score. T. Burgold shot a hard curved free kick, striking the post. The Rossa coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. 73 minutes into the game, L. Georgitzikis had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came U. Emilsson. Coming from the right, R. Illesca almost managed to score another goal for Ju Ju, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. The Ju Ju players could smell victory in the air. S. Hopkins wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Maev after 80 minutes. Rossa enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

The most dominating Ju Ju player was without a doubt J. Wyss. U. Emilsson turned in a dismal performance, however. A. Meir performed admirably for Rossa. However, G. Katzamunski made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
