Clouds darkened the skies at
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Stadium as 34067 spectators turned up for the match.
Alfonz Albert was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
George Vredenbregt and
Vivian Bigler.
Tribble started off with a 4-3-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Michetelli - Konyaev, Ameen, Mesquita, Tonizzi - Brewer, Wiatt, Horn - Kolu, Nickson, Gavenda.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for decs_dream09.
Lineup: Adni - Malta, Goossens, Gebali, Bova - Abeydat, Lavers, Kernaghan, Wen Kiong, Kmotorka - Danihel.
It was an obvious ambition of Tribble to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
With 4 minutes gone, Tribble had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
T. Horn did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
It was obvious that Tribble had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Tribble had a chance to take the lead after
A. Ameen's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 14 minutes.
15 minutes into the game, Tribble seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
weak level of organisation.
J. Lavers came close to putting the visiting team one up 25 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
A. Michetelli managed to tip the ball to a corner.
After 34 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Tribble was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
37 minutes in, Tribble appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
poor.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
decs_dream09 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
A review of the gameplan helped Tribble get back to a
passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
After 50 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Tribble found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
D. Abeydat had a good try after 62 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
77 minutes into the game,
B. Bova was a hair's breadth away from giving decs_dream09 the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by
A. Michetelli saved the home team that time.
83 minutes into the game, Tribble wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
T. Kolu gave
A. Padial a quick hug as he left the field.
R. Konyaev was the new captain of Tribble - handed the armband by the departing player.
After 84 minutes, the Tribble coach had a quick word about the tactical set-up and decided to try another approach.
decs_dream09 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
Tribble's best player was
B. Gavenda.
On the other hand,
A. Michetelli's play was disheartening.
Most important decs_dream09 player was
S. Danihel.
S. Gebali turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 0 - 0.
