It was an obvious ambition of Chelminianka to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. 6 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for demmers was H. Herren. F. Pinto could have increased the lead after 12 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. demmers's F. Pinto was shown a yellow card after 18 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 21 minutes, C. Greenleaf put demmers ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The players of demmers now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. demmers's S. Dincă struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 3 - 0 after 24 minutes. demmers managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when C. Burke cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. C. Burke of demmers was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to demmers, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

C. Bucknall should probably have put his team up another goal after 48 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by L. Leach kept the visitors in the game. The home team's fans were upset when, after 54 minutes, the visiting B. Pitulice broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 4 - 1 was the score. Thighs bulging, H. Herren charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. A penalty 65 minutes into the game gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident S. Dincă shot the ball wide trying to put it away in the top corner. Q. Ewen had a lethal looking free kick that grazed the post after 74 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of demmers to 5 - 1 as C. Bucknall finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by demmers, with 69 percent of the ball.

S. Dincă performed admirably for demmers. J. Charnock turned in a dismal performance, however. Chelminianka's top performer was clearly B. Pitulice. A. Simcock was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
