(390061466)

19-08-2012 18.00
34945 spectators arrived at
New Plaistow Fc Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Mathieu Garbe was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Trivimi Ojasaar and
Fidelius Schrittenlocher.
People from all over
London had joined up for the derby.
Plaistow had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Brew - Dzyuba, Dănilă, Lokša, Håkansson - Campos, Gamboa, Dohmen, Carone, Cicero - Strasser.
Diamonds tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Starters: Strange - Schirmer, Newbury, Morrissey, MacKillister - Francis, Wright, Figh, Lazell - Greaves, Swaffin-Smith.
Plaistow saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Plaistow had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
Plaistow broke through on the left 8 minutes into the game, with
H. Strasser firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
After 18 minutes, Diamonds's
C. Greaves fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
It was obvious that Plaistow had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Plaistow managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
R. Gamboa cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
H. Strasser's lightning pace was too much for
S. Morrissey who could only look on as the Plaistow player blasted one home. 3 - 0.
Plaistow solidified their lead at the 38 minute mark, as
H. Strasser dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
H. Strasser.
With 41 minutes played, Plaistow's
H. Strasser almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
It was 4 - 0 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Plaistow, who controlled the ball 86 percent of the time.
Plaistow put themselves up 5 - 0 when
R. Gamboa broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Plaistow lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The home side's
V. Carone came close to extending the lead 81 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
M. Strange managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Plaistow's
C. Campos increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 82 minutes.
After 83 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
H. Strasser gave the Plaistow supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 7 - 0.
V. Dănilă increased the lead for Plaistow to 8 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Plaistow enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 89 percent of possession.
The most dominating Plaistow player was without a doubt
H. Strasser.
O. Brew turned in a dismal performance, however.
M. Swaffin-Smith performed admirably for Diamonds.
However,
M. Strange made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 8 - 0.
