(390065329)

26-08-2012 18.00
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 12000 to
The Kirkby Bowl.
Xaver Ramseyer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sietse Beukenhorst and
Rachid Godoy.
The Dozen tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Goodrich - Studnicki-Gisbert, Goodin, Brinkman, Martin - Irons, Silver, Catty, Martyn - Twohig, Riddle.
Bushbridge had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Bernady - Serdyński, Lot, Weiskopf - Stahnke, Višniakovas, Cariaco, Padělek, Jung - Kambo, Aspinwall.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Bushbridge's
D. Kambo after 4 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
Bushbridge increased the lead to 0 - 2 as
R. Cariaco scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner.
After 19 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
B. Aspinwall who increased Bushbridge's lead to 0 - 3.
The visitors'
B. Stahnke took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 30 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Bushbridge.
Confident in their lead, Bushbridge's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
R. Cariaco received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 31 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Bushbridge fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Halftime score was 0 - 5.
Bushbridge had most of the ball, with 89 percent of possession.
B. Aspinwall increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6.
With 62 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
A. Višniakovas of Bushbridge to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 7.
Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
D. Jung.
After 70 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
D. Kambo to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8.
71 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 9 as
R. Lot finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
Usually a powerful player on the field,
G. Catty looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun.
With 73 minutes played, Bushbridge put themselves up 0 - 10 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
B. Aspinwall.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
B. Aspinwall.
Bushbridge claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 90 percent.
The Dozen's top performer was clearly
A. Twohig.
J. Goodin was a disappointment, however.
Bushbridge's best player was
H. Bernady.
B. Stahnke on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 10.
