Van Genechten was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 34 minutes. After 41 minutes, Ekranas put themselves up 1 - 2, as J. Sutton finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Ekranas, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

After 71 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Ekranas was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. The most dominating harriers player was without a doubt S. Alberti. On the other hand, T. Zinnur's play was disheartening. B. Deayton performed admirably for Ekranas. E. Dennis turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
