The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 39663 had shown up at The White Lightning Arena for the match. Cidaarrr saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Cidaarrr's J. Clairac refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 24 minutes. Cidaarrr had a chance to take the lead after Z. Sánchez-Arjona's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 32 minutes. After 34 minutes of play, V. Bibić gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Gunners manager used a brief break in play after 34 minutes to give the players new directives. The Gunners coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Bezeljak broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Cidaarrr. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Gunners's K. Hesselbjerg was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 55 minutes. A. Korsholm was given a chance to change things around. After 64 minutes, J. José put Cidaarrr ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Cidaarrr increased the lead as V. Bibić struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Cidaarrr lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 76 minutes into the game, C. Malpica had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came B. Purry. After 77 minutes, Gunners sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached A. Korsholm, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 4 - 1. After 81 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and J. José gave the Cidaarrr supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Cidaarrr, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

Cidaarrr's best player was V. Bibić. S. Leitol was a disappointment, however. Gunners's top performer was clearly K. Mellor. H. Sutton turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
