(390068674)

05-08-2012 18.00
23981 punters turned up at
Mr King Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Victor Pennac was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Benny Bjerregaard and
Joakim Fredriksson.
Kingboss tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Lassen - Muza, Hoti, Dupor - Hätzel, Lima, Beldal, Doğan, Krpec - Ben-Ami, Naert.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Slackers.
Lineup: Daso - Ervasti, Graulund, Carril - Kasztel, Ungar-Huber, Burello, Szopka - Lockwood, Bowles, Shepley.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Kingboss.
Slackers tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
K. Hoti received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 13 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
The cannonball from 35 metres by
T. Graulund of Slackers was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net.
After 24 minutes, speedy
V. Krpec dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However,
B. Ben-Ami failed to score.
R. Lassen looked great 27 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
B. Ungar-Huber.
Slackers's
M. Szopka had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 29 minutes having been played.
N. Anderson was the replacement.
After 32 minutes, the defensive line of Kingboss created a counterattack through the middle that gave
M. Naert a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
The goal to make it 1 - 0 was scored by
B. Ben-Ami after 37 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by Kingboss.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Slackers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
Having turned the direction of play quickly, the Kingboss counter attack ended as the ball carrier was brought down violently by a defender after 61 minutes. The resulting free kick was a flat shot into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and did not allow the opponents to reach the ball.
The visitors didn't give in and, after 67 minutes,
N. Lockwood got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1.
Slackers had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 69 minutes in when
C. Carril came up alone against
R. Lassen who managed a block.
Slackers were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
The visiting
C. Carril was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 71 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
Slackers had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.
Kingboss's best player was
A. Doğan.
On the other hand,
B. Ben-Ami's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Slackers player was without a doubt
N. Lockwood.
However,
N. Anderson made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 2.
