Dark skies made the crowd of 25291 at Green Field Lane a little nervous, but the rain held off. Horst Gonda was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mauricio Andrés 'de mummie' Rodriguez and Erik-Sander Giesen. Inky Green had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Inky Green clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. J. Feßlmeier had a good opportunity to give Victims the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Inky Green took the lead 6 minutes in, as R. Rohail broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. 8 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as W. Bevan broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Inky Green. A bit later, Victims's B. Davidovich easily reduced the lead to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. G. Jacobsen earned a rousing chorus of cheers from his fans as he seemed to come out of nowhere after 32 minutes to intercept the ball and put it in the back of the net for Victims. 2 - 2. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, E. Foreman scored for Inky Green putting them ahead 3 - 2, after 36 minutes. 37 minutes into the game Victims's B. Davidovich found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 3 - 3. Halftime score was 3 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Victims, with 59 percent of the ball.

R. Rohail would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. S. Raftery entered the game for Inky Green as the match clock showed 65 minutes. Priding himself in being an active coach, the Inky Green manager gave new instructions to his players after 75 minutes. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Victims's B. Davidovich after 76 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 3 - 4 lead. At that, B. Davidovich was noted down for a hat trick! 81 minutes into the game, L. Beira Grande had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came P. Dürrmüller. L. Manique of Victims received a yellow card after 83 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 86 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for S. Baron who increased Victims's lead to 3 - 5. After this, you could see that the players of Victims were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. As E. Schützweg had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Inky Green player a red card without batting an eyelid. O. Bartolucci was called on to replace Victims's J. Feßlmeier after 88 minutes following a nasty collision. P. Zuppiger was the new captain of Victims - handed the armband by the departing player. W. Bevan of Inky Green was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Victims had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

Inky Green's best player was E. Foreman. O. Vrága was a disappointment, however. Most important Victims player was I. Siderov. On the other hand, P. Zuppiger's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 5.
