Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 8260 to Asian Persuasion Arena. Stephan Hiebl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rasmus Bárálíð and Aubin Verstraeten. Armour denied him with a spectacular block. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Chapelfields, with 65 percent of the ball.

Had it not been for one of the home defenders, A. Gallagher would have put Chapelfields up another goal 53 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. 65 minutes in, Persuasion's D. Kealey received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. With 68 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed F. Rees of Chapelfields to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Chapelfields's A. Gallagher put the visitors up 0 - 4 after 70 minutes. The players of Chapelfields now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Chapelfields had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
