Clouds darkened the skies at northen stars Arena as 3017 spectators turned up for the match. Kerrigan should probably have put his team up another goal after 76 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Le Fondre kept the visitors in the game. E. Whitton's lack of experience almost gave GH a goal after 80 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. Coming from the right, D. Butcher almost managed to score another goal for northen, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. J. Castillo of northen was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. northen had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

northen's best player was S. Kabili. A. Gould turned in a dismal performance, however. J. Bryan performed admirably for GH. However, K. Corish made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 0.
