CRU seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. CHELSEA6CHELSEA took a creative approach on the field. L. Arwaj looked great 10 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' A. Bottaniz. CHELSEA6CHELSEA had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 41 minutes in when U. Strömborn came up alone against L. Arwaj who managed a block. CRU were very close to putting themselves one up after 44 minutes as T. Duelund got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Many thought T. Duelund ought to have been awarded a penalty 44 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around J. Hue after a determined run through the middle. CHELSEA6CHELSEA's U. Strömborn was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 44 minutes. It was 0 - 0 at the break. CRU enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

60 minutes into the game, CRU wanted to bring some new energy to their game. P. Pihlland gave J. Dragnea a quick hug as he left the field. CRU took the lead 60 minutes in, as J. Humm broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 62 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called CHELSEA6CHELSEA's S. Muschenheim to one side and produced a red card for the player. J. Gangén of CRU had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. G. Ivan came in to finish the match. The CRU captaincy was handed to S. Toftlund. Things were deteriorating for the away team as CRU scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. Ivan after 65 minutes. CHELSEA6CHELSEA's P. Roetlishberger had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 66 minutes having been played. R. Perrot was the replacement. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of CRU to 3 - 0 as G. Ivan finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. A.
