Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 35614 to The Forge. Pedro Vaz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Torben Reinhardt and Mariusz Kudłacik. Berserkers had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players took the field: Valver - Duţescu, Amadi - Bagnacani, Casablanca, Lamus, Ibar, Sankoh - Wołczyk, Chidi, Munteanu.

Kano started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Hakila - Abacha, Samuel, Eboka, Kunene - Babuin, Ayoola, Haziel, Aku - Udoma, Numbere.

Berserkers mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. They were singing the praises of Z. Wołczyk 15 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Berserkers. 16 minutes into the match C. Casablanca put Berserkers ahead 2 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. Berserkers had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. I. Duţescu had a fantastic opportunity to put Berserkers up another goal 26 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. C. Casablanca increased Berserkers's lead to 3 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. With 37 minutes played, Berserkers put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to I. Chidi, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Berserkers, with 89 percent of the ball.

Z. Wołczyk increased the lead for Berserkers to 5 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Berserkers lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. G. Munteanu was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Berserkers's C. Bagnacani managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 6 - 0 A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Berserkers's I. Chidi increasing the lead to 7 - 0. The score became 8 - 0 at 63 minutes into the game, when Berserkers were given a penalty which C. Casablanca blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! By then C. Casablanca had scored three goals - a hat trick! A. Lamus of Berserkers seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 9 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by C. Casablanca. C. Bagnacani of Berserkers was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish J. Kunene, which resulted in a goal making the score 10 - 0. After 75 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Z. Wołczyk gave the Berserkers supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 11 - 0. That made three goals for Z. Wołczyk and he was marked down for the hat trick. A great save by keeper S. Hakila after 77 minutes kept the visitors in the game after E. Ibar struck from the left with a real cannonball. Berserkers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 92 percent.

G. Munteanu performed admirably for Berserkers. However, J. Valver made a disastrous appearance. Most important Kano player was H. Numbere. T. Eboka was a disappointment, however. The match ends 11 - 0.
