previous 7/10 next 9/10  Bandely 0 - 1 Bredon (390193961)

45314 spectators had come to Water Side Stamford Bridge this cloudy day. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Lagos derby and the crowd was divided evenly. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Bandely. Lineup: Sevilha - Davidsson, Wästertorp, Eriksson, Tilander - Staš, de Keizer, Steffenhagen, Rãdan - Barba, Pérez.

Bredon started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Lourenço Nunes - Iliev, Falco, Rechberger - John, Calcagno, Chukwu, Usman - Gassler, Osagie, Spina.

3 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Bandely to take the lead after a good cross from the right found S. Tilander alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Bandely made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left C. Barba completely alone with keeper E. Lourenço Nunes, who made a spectacular block. M. Osagie sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from G. Calcagno after 34 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 1. W. Toro was called on to replace Bredon's G. Calcagno after 42 minutes following a nasty collision. B. Spina became the new Bredon captain. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Bandely had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

It was almost a goal for Bandely following T. Davidsson's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though. 59 minutes into the game, Bredon seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. Bredon's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 61 minutes gone, but F. Falco's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. 67 minutes in, Bredon's W. Toro received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 70 minutes into the game, Bredon had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. Possession in this half belonged to Bandely, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

Bandely's best player was T. Eriksson. However, G. Pérez made a disastrous appearance. E. Lourenço Nunes performed admirably for Bredon. J. Usman turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
