DVG 4 - 2 Rockys (390241825)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 69921 to het nest. Hendrie Butterhoff was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Čeněk Halouzka and Vidar Pedersen. DVG tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: van Amsterdam - Eysker, Kramers, van der Marel - Sanders, Enzing, Kolk, Hilboezen, Marruocco - Komatsu, Lust.

Rockys decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Puigventós - Grisard, Håkansson, Confín, Orbegoso - Camelo, La Cruz, Grafen, den Hollander - Langeder, Thomasberg.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Rockys. DVG could have put themselves ahead after 3 minutes but R. Kolk missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. K. Thomasberg finished off the counterattack of Rockys from the left rather easily, making the score 0 - 1. After 17 minutes, K. Komatsu sent the corner kick right to K. Eysker who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 1! J. La Cruz stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving Rockys the goal to make it 1 - 2. The referee showed DVG's K. Komatsu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Unfortunately for Rockys, O. Camelo was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. J. Calixto replaced him. G. Kramers charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for DVG, but the shot went well wide of the goal. Rockys's P. Grafen was shown a yellow card after 39 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by DVG, with 73 percent of the ball.

M. Håkansson left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Ocampos was the replacement. After 53 minutes of play, J. Enzing evened things up for DVG with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. 54 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when DVG's K. Komatsu received his second yellow card and was sent off. Rockys were forced into a substitution as B. Grisard couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing S. Suomensalo to come in off the bench. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, S. Suomensalo took over the role of being the Rockys captain. DVG had a good opportunity to take the lead as J. Enzing came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of P. Puigventós. Good work by the Rockys defensive line after 59 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found C. den Hollander alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. 67 minutes into the match and the home team took a 3 - 2 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for DVG was S. Hilboezen. DVG's E. Lust excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused M. Orbegoso - and the finish was no less spectacular - 4 - 2! Possession in this half belonged to DVG, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

E. Lust performed admirably for DVG. G. Kramers on the other hand, had a terrible day. Rockys's best player was P. Puigventós. However, S. Suomensalo made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 2.
