Onto finished off a grunninger left wing counterattack, making the score 2 - 0. grunninger's T. van Messel was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 33 minutes. grunninger's T. van Messel increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 35 minutes. T. Swärdby didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. Cheers filled the stadium as T. van Messel broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to grunninger. After this, you could see that the players of grunninger were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. It was 4 - 0 at the break. grunninger claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

grunninger put themselves up 5 - 0 when M. Milas broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. After 69 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by D. Fomushkin might have resulted in another goal for grunninger. However, P. Puigventós made a spectacular save. With the clock showing 70 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Rockys resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by M. Håkansson in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. D. Fomushkin had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. T. van Messel unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. grunninger enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Most important grunninger player was T. Swärdby. D. Fomushkin on the other hand, had a terrible day. T. Langeder performed admirably for Rockys. M. Ocampos turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
