A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 42683 to Door Oefening Sterk Arena. Sabah Yahlaoui was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roli Malcuit and Markku Rantamartti. It seemed as though Oefening considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game. After 12 minutes, S. Armengol came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Oefening the lead. Oefening solidified their lead at the 20 minute mark, as F. de Meeûs d'Argenteuil dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. G. Blomme of bunga received a yellow card after 21 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 23 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and F. de Meeûs d'Argenteuil gave the Oefening supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. The players of Oefening now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Oefening put themselves up 4 - 0 when F. de Meeûs d'Argenteuil broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. This third goal completed a hattrick for F. de Meeûs d'Argenteuil. bunga's F. Marchi left the field after 32 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was J. Haagsma. S. Atar could have increased the lead after 34 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. bunga mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 35 minutes, but E. Hoogmoed was unable to convert from short range. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Oefening, who controlled the ball 84 percent of the time.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. F. de Meeûs d'Argenteuil squirmed through their central defence after 49 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as S. Armengol broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to Oefening. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why S. Atar found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. Oefening had to make a substitution after 68 minutes. S. Armengol limped off the field and was replaced by C. Burger. Oefening were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 73 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by S. Cami. 7 - 0 for the home side. I. Züfle didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. The score became 8 - 0 at 80 minutes into the game, when Oefening were given a penalty which S. Cami blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Coming from the right, J. Waugh almost managed to score another goal for Oefening, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Oefening enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 89 percent of possession.

Oefening's best player was S. Atar. R. Boniface turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important bunga player was E. Hoogmoed. J. Haagsma on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 8 - 0.
