Dubus picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. After 27 minutes, Piecken!'s R. Mingelen made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. T. Buist hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Piecken!'s J. Moura Silva an easy chance to knock it in for 1 - 3. A quick free kick deep in the opponent's half found F. Hoytema, who produced a brilliant first touch to send it flying beyond the keeper into the net. This reduced the away team's lead to 2 - 3. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for brainboys, but B. Sörensson's shot went over the bar. Piecken!'s T. Bosker was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. brainboys were forced into a substitution as F. Hoytema couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing B. van Schaik to come in off the bench. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, A. Yaslam took over the role of being the brainboys captain. The crowd was on its feet 43 minutes into the match, as brainboys's C. Naldi found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 3 - 3 equaliser. 3 - 3 was the halftime score. brainboys had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

B. Sörensson caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 51 minutes. This gave brainboys the 4 - 3 lead. A well placed corner kick from Y. Stepanskiy was followed by C. Naldi's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for brainboys, the score now 5 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of brainboys were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Piecken!'s right side looked dangerous after 58 minutes, as J. Moura Silva broke through. T. Druppers continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. Piecken!'s J. Moura Silva was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 80 minutes. brainboys claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

brainboys's top performer was clearly C. Naldi. However, B. van Schaik made a disastrous appearance. T. Zoetemelk performed admirably for Piecken!. On the other hand, T. Bosker's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 3.
