Due to an all-day shower, 46138 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Diorama. J. Keller's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 13 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to E. Onkalo who knocked it in for DITIO. 1 - 0! A great save by keeper M. Boom after 33 minutes kept the visitors in the game after J. Keller struck from the left with a real cannonball. DITIO's E. Onkalo saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 35 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Rossignoli from e-hollando a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! DITIO's E. Naessens showed his experience after 40 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 43 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting e-hollando a penalty. R. Berlee knocked it home. 1 - 1 Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

The coach of DITIO wanted to try to change things around after 46 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. The corner kick from M. Mikulits was powerfully met by the head of D. Mirag to make the score 2 - 1. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, e-hollando's G. Rossignoli was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 59 minutes. J. Raesfeld was given a chance to change things around. The e-hollando players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. A lot of people in the terraces claimed the penalty resulting in e-hollando's R. Berlee equaliser for 2 - 2 was a mistake by the referee. He did, however, have a very good view of the situation from his position. J. Keller spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. DITIO could have put themselves ahead after 80 minutes but M. Mikulits missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. DITIO took the lead 86 minutes in, as G. Boekhoff broke through on the left and put the 3 - 2 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. The coach of DITIO was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 86 minutes, B. Knutsson came on for E. Onkalo. E. Naessens wanted to play on, but the DITIO coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 86 minutes into the game by J. Stolpe.
