It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why R. Fortrie found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. 32 minutes into the game, C. Akdes had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. ~Castel's C. Akdes managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 33 minutes. 0 - 1. After 37 minutes, S. Heide made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. After 42 minutes, ~Castel's J. Aluja fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Zitterd, with 53 percent of the ball.

The sunny day didn't make things easy for P. Dańczak who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Zitterd's E. Brugmans had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 64 minutes having been played. M. Meulman was the replacement. J. Aluja found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. Some great play up the middle by Zitterd led to a chance for S. Heide to score after 72 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Zitterd were awarded a penalty 76 minutes into the game but T. Harmans produced a poor shot, quite easily saved by H. Przybyłowski. Zitterd took the lead 77 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by T. Harmans that made the score 2 - 1. Zitterd claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

G. Carsughi performed admirably for Zitterd. F. Nanninga was a disappointment, however. The most dominating ~Castel player was without a doubt J. Guadiana. H. Przybyłowski turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
