Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 48532 to BlinQ Pink Stadion. Vendelín Chroustovský was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Javier Majancoses and Stanley Mckinney. BlinQ decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. The following players took the field: Beukers - Šírek, Dierckens, Dodebier - Strandgaard, van Gelder, Bassini, Wouda - Aarts, Păuna, Loonstein.

Badoella started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: van Boshuizen - Temmink, de Jong, Noordhoek - Crijne, Weijermans, Bender, Vestdijk, Boomsma - Frings, Peters.

R. Frings had a good opportunity to give Badoella the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. 9 minutes into the game, V. Păuna had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came P. Kooistra. 12 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for BlinQ was J. Aarts. BlinQ's L. Bassini left the field after 38 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was P. Asser. A lot of people in the terraces claimed the penalty resulting in Badoella's K. Peters equaliser for 1 - 1 was a mistake by the referee. He did, however, have a very good view of the situation from his position. Badoella's L. Weijermans placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but S. Vestdijk couldn't finish. BlinQ's J. Aarts tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Badoella, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

I. Temmink sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from K. Peters after 47 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 2. The visitors' L. Weijermans took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 59 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Badoella. At 62 minutes into the game, BlinQ's P. Kooistra deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 2 - 3. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for BlinQ, but P. Asser's shot went over the bar. It might be a while before the fans see Badoella's S. Vestdijk again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 84 minute mark. He was replaced by A. Bloemers. BlinQ had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating BlinQ player was without a doubt E. Loonstein. M. Beukers turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Badoella player was K. de Jong. However, A. Bloemers made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
