Stadsholt got himself booked. The manager of Krijnens was not happy. After 25 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave G. Schippers a chance to increase the lead for united, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. Krijnens refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, S. Gámez managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 3. Krijnens's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 29 minutes into the match as S. Gámez ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 2 - 3. united's M. Pyysing was shown a yellow card after 34 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 41 minutes of play, W. Kleibergen evened things up for Krijnens with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 3 - 3. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Schippers from united a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 42 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 3 - 3 was the score after the first half. Always quick on his feet, Krijnens's E. Meily sped down the field after 47 minutes, but his pass to C. Weikamp was just a bit too far ahead for him to get a good shot off. united's J. Huijzer gave the visitors a 3 - 4 lead after 51 minutes with a superb strike from the right. The home crowd was not impressed when G. Schippers came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 52 minutes. united were now up 3 - 5. That made three goals for G. Schippers and he was marked down for the hat trick. It took several tries, but Krijnens managed to break through on the left after 53 minutes, getting the ball to A. Manga who easily reduced the lead to make the score 4 - 5. The home crowd cheered when, after 59 minutes, M. Pyysing's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Krijnens's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 60 minutes gone, but W. Kleibergen's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 61 minutes gave Krijnens a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and A. Manga stepped up to the challenge. 5 - 5 Krijnens enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Krijnens's best player was C. Weikamp. S. Brisard was a disappointment, however. The most dominating united player was without a doubt G. Schippers. On the other hand, C. Bahnholz's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 5.
