Langeveld almost resulted in a goal for Phoenix1, but W. Christiansson's shot rebounded off the post. The rain made it hard for players like R. Hoogerheide to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. W. Christiansson of Phoenix1 was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The crowd roared in delight as S. Altınışık finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Hollanders 44 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Hollanders enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Katlevičius got himself booked. The manager of Phoenix1 was not happy. 63 minutes into the game, R. Klinting had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came S. Beekmans. Down the middle came R. Hoogerheide, making a fantastic play that nearly had Phoenix1 take the lead after 65 minutes, but F. Tacha preserved the tie. Hollanders created a good opportunity to score 73 minutes into the match when S. Altınışık's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. With 78 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. N. Henno put the ball away for 1 - 2. R. Meyles of Phoenix1 took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 79 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 3. X. Cotobade dispatched a majestic long shot 80 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. Phoenix1 had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
